Beautiful Mud
Well, maybe it's not beautiful, but I'm so happy to have some.
It means the snow is melting, if only for a day or so.
The past couple of days it's been above freezing during the daylight hours.
I was busy doing laundry and I noticed Jack looking out the window at the sunshine.
He hasn't had many walks recently and I know he doesn't mind the mud.
So, off we went. Walking in the mud under the pretty blue sky.
Saw some fungi lying on the ice. Most things are still buried under snow.
Even though this is a weed of some sort, it gave me hope that Spring will be here soon.
This piece of fungus was our found treasure for todays walk.
Once it's dry I'll tuck it into my journal.
I hope you had some sunshine and warmer temps wherever you are today.

The Best Part Of My Day
Although there is still a bit of frost and ice here in the mornings, and their are still no leaves on the trees here, I know it's Spring, because I found these.
They are from our small group of fruit trees.
I'm not sure which fruit.
It really doesn't matter.
They're my favorite shade of pink.
And they smell heavenly.
My walk with Jack and finding these beautiful blooms were the best part of my day.
What was the best part of your day?

Waiting For Spring
As the snow continues to fall, I've been keeping busy inside in anticipation of Spring.
Waiting for the Robins to show up.
I hear they've been spotted about 40 miles south of here, but haven't seen any myself.
So, in the meantime I'm cleaning and changing up the decor a bit while the guys are working on renovations here and there.
I hung this beautiful mixed media collage from my friend Sharon, right next to my favorite chair.
I love it so much Sharon!!! Thank you!
My daughter made this sweet little miniature sheep for me for Valentine's Day. I have it in my dining room.
Love it Jamie!!! Thank you!
Just finished reading "Home to Woefield".
Cute story about a young woman who inherits a small farm and gives up city life to make a go of it in the country.
What are you doing while you're waiting for Spring?
