Keeping Busy

Busy.busy.busy...........
You know how it is...
Busy doing things that you'd love to blog about, but realizing that if you spend all your time blogging, then you don't have time to do the things that you want to blog about...............
Here's what I've been up to lately:

Making New Friends
This is my very own Lollie Doll made by my dear friend Marilyn.
I love my little Lollie Doll.
She is hanging next to some handspun yarn, which brings me to my next item of busyness...
SPINNING

I went to visit my new friend and I got to try out her  spinning wheel and loved it and now I have one too, so I'm learning how to spin...
and I'm working in the gardens...
Harvesting tomatoes and lots of other vegetables.
I even made a couple of lanterns for the garden...
Got rid of lots of lillies and replaced them with herbs and old sewing machine parts.
Like this antique treadle peddle...
and this...
and this.

There's been some getting rid of things and organizing all the things I'm keeping.
Like my polka dots...

and hands and things.

There's been no time for felting.

But it's on my list of must do things along with all the should do things and and absolutely have to things.
There just aren't enough hours in a day or weeks in a month to finish all the undone things, but trying keeps me busy.

See you soon.

Inspired By Nature

As I walked along the dusty country lane that leads to my house, I came upon these.

These little berry like buds reminded me of tiny tufted pillows.
Then I thought...hmm...perfect idea for my felted pincushions.

So...I added a sweet ceramic button to the top and the bottom of my pin cushions and I think they are quite fine.

If you are in need of any of these wonderful ceramic buttons, you can purchase them from Anita @ www.potteryhead.etsy.com.

Thanks for stopping by!
