Creepy Things & City Girl's Necklace

Creepy Assemblage.

Memory
The next several photos are of a necklace that I made for a friend.
She told me a story from her childhood and I created this from the story.

I hope she loves it.

Thanks for having a look.

Crocheted Steampunk

I wasn't quite sure what to call this style, so I've decided on crocheted steampunk.

This necklace is titled
Do Not Disturb.

It has a ceramic face, some felted beads, an antique key, an antique leather button and 3 beautiful glass vintage buttons. It all comes together with a fine cotton crochet thread.
One of a kind.
Artwear.

Thanks for having a look.

Antique Pincushions

They're not actually antique pincushions, but are repurposed bits of antique and vintage items used to create new pincushions. Pedestals and silver spoons. Linen, lace, velvet and notions. Hatpins and pearls.
Even an old Victorian child's shoe.

You can purchase these HERE.

Thanks for looking.

Frenzy.
That being said.
The latest by Umelecky.

Freeform crochet using the yummiest, textured, hand spun wool you've ever seen.
Hand felted wool orbs.
Hand crocheted orbs, stuffed with wool.
All trimmed in the finest cotton crochet thread.
Very freeform.
One of a Kind.
Bold.

I can't decide if I'm going to list this one or keep it for myself.

Thanks for stopping in.

Empty

The pain of her shattered heart has not been healed by time.
The ache remains and she is empty now.
Locked away in her world of sadness.
 Tormented by her memories.

"Nothing is forever"

"Always is a lie"

"I can only love you til the day I die"

A wooden box of feelings.
A collage of repurposed antiques.

Thanks for looking!
Let me know what you think.
I appreciate your comments.

Sunshine & Children

Do you remember the 4th Of July as a child?
Picnics and bare feet.
Twirling in a summer dress.
Eating cupcakes with sugary frosting.
And the anticipation of sparklers and fireworks.

Hiking and exploring.

Fun food and too much soda pop.

And Miss Kitty.

I hope the sun was shining on your picnic today.
Happy 4th Of July!

Not Forgotten

Remembering a day long ago.
Playing on the beach while mom sat nearby.
Small bits of lace and buttons from her sundress and yours.
Some torn linen from the tablecloth where you had your picnic together.
Freshwater pearls from the shop on the boardwalk.
Time goes by so quickly.
It seems like only yesterday.

Hand stitched bits of antique linen and lace.
Antique and vintage buttons.
Freshwater pearls.
A vintage watch case altered to hold a little girls picture and a free moving pearl.

Remembering special moments.
They are Not Forgotten.

This one of a kind art wear necklace will be available for sale in my Etsy shop.

Thanks for stopping by.
Please take a minute to say hi while you're here.

Happy 4th of July weekend to you all.
