Thank You

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Linda, from itsy-bits-and-pieces.blogspot.com.
I was lucky enough to be the winner of her recent Halloween give away.
Love this paper owl!
And these sweet flash cards that spell out HALLOWEEN, as well as the pretty orange ribbon that they're hanging from.
How about this pumpkin seed pack!
And this cute vintage cupcake decoration.
This is just a portion of the generous packet of goodies that Linda sent.
Thank you so much Linda!
It was the bright spot in my week!

To visit Linda's blog go to www.itsy-bits-and-pieces.blogspot.com
It's one of my favorite blogs and is also listed on the side bar to your right.
You'll find tons of ideas and inspiration there, from vintage decor to DIY projects and also a link to her shop where you can purchase vintage items for your own decor.
I hope you take a moment to check out her blog.

Handmade Velvet Pumpkins

Tis the season for making pumpkins.
I made these using recycled materials.
The velvet was from an antique bed jacket and the lace and ribbon are old and recycled too.
The pedestals were once candle holders.

I made a few dark orange velvet ones and the witches hat with a mix of new and recycled materials.

The old velvet album and the antique shoes were fleamarket finds and remind me of a witches shoes and her book of spells.

Each year at this time I make new pumpkins.
I think these are my favorite so far.
Happy Fall Everyone!
