A Handful Of Acorns

ACORNS
Making felt acorns is something I do each Fall.
Most years the acorn caps I find from the oak trees here are kind of small.
This year I found some huge ones.
I've made hundreds of these things and given them all away.
These ones I think I'll keep for myself.
Keeping it simple as always.

  1. Hi Miz Karen Ann!
I love the acorns, and they "are" really nice big ones! I have the ones you made me in a special place. You are so talented my friend. I love the new banner too!
    Hugs!

  2. Very cool. I found a whole bagful - mostly smaller ones and I'm making some for myself this year too. Better get busy or autumn will be over!

    1. Hi Jill! The tiny ones are just so cute! I should have gathered more and made some little ones too.

  3. These are so pretty, Karen...you do a beautiful job on them. I've both some wool, but haven't got around to trying them yet.

  4. Karen so sweet they are, I love these nature creations, the soft white wool, and the acorn caps. I also have a little collection of the caps , just have to pick them up, when seeing them.
Have a lovely rest week !!

    1. Thanks so much Dorthe! I would be happy to send you some the next time I make them. It's something I can work on while I'm watching TV as it doesn't require much thought or mess. I made hundreds of them for my daughters wedding a few years ago. She was married in the Fall and we scattered them around on all the tables for people to take as they left.
