August is a nesting month for me.
Cleaning, organizing, and preparing for the long, cold months ahead.
It feels like Fall here already, with temps in the 40's last night.
Anyway, while working in my kitchen, I noticed that there are quite a few birds nesting there as well.
There's this chippy, vintage, ceramic chicken.
It has a hook on the bottom for hanging towels or pot holders.
There's also this cute little ceramic pie bird.
I don't bake many pies, but it looks cute sitting on the shelf.

And a sweet little bird.
No wonder I feel like nesting.

It feels like summer is gone here too- Maine is like that. We had the heat like you did- then, nothing. It's 60 right now. Summer went SO fast!! My lat kitchen was rooster and chicken, with a wonderful toile print for curtains. Now, still pretty plain, the the birds are in a box somewhere!
