Owl Hat For Vera

The past couple of weeks have gone by so quickly.

My stepdaughter Anita and grand baby Vera have been here visiting from NC.

They are leaving this afternoon to spend time with another grandma.

It's going to be so quiet around here.

 In between the playing and feedings and all the other baby stuff, I managed to make Vera a little owl hat. It's a bit big for her , but she'll grow into it.

Oh dear!!! I'm gonna miss her!

Three Months Old

My sweet grand baby is three months old already.

 Oh, I wish she lived closer.

Thank goodness for iPhones and computers.

Visiting Vera

Our trip to NC was extra special this time.

We met our first grand baby, Vera.

 I love her so much!

She thinks Grandpa is pretty funny.

Mommy is so proud and happy.

And Daddy is too.

Here she is showing off her new sun hat.

We missed her the minute we left.

Visiting Vera was the best thing ever!

A Birth

 I'm now a grandma and I get to go to NC this weekend to see Baby Vera in person for the first time. She's so beautiful! I can't wait to meet her!!!

A death. Pappap passed away at age 98.

Family.

There was the death of a pet.

Purchasing a home.

Planning a move.

Job changes.

Health concerns.

Good days and not so good ones.

Life happening.

Change.

This evening is quiet.

 Quiet is good.

A storm blew through earlier and now a gentle rain falls.
