I've got a base coat of paint on one of the primitive hutches that my husband rescued.
I scrubbed the heck out of it and left the crackled old paint as it was.
No sanding or stripping.
I'm just painting over what was there.
Of course my husband is having a fit.
He wanted to restore them "the right way".
I want them to look primitive, but clean and white.
This old purse hardware came from the same abandoned farmhouse.
I can't wait to make a new bag with it.
I'm loving all the old stuff from Holland.
Here are my happy colors for today.
I've been having trouble sleeping again, so I've been doing a bit of crocheting late at night.
These are all the end pieces of yarn that I trim from the projects I've been working on.
Hope you're keeping busy with fun projects too.
Karen
I agree with you Karen - much more character if you just paint over it the way it was! Love the purse top - can't wait to see what you make with that one!
