Happy Easter

Wishing you all a very HAPPY EASTER!
Tiny chalkware bunny. Only 1 inch tall.
Brown eggs make the richest colors when using the old fashioned dye tablets.

Our Easter will be a quiet one this year.
A much needed break from stress and drama.
Just some good food, my husband and me, and Jack (our dog).
I hope to spend the afternoon in front of the tv with my crochet hook.
Hope you all have a happy, relaxing holiday.

Two New Kokeshi Dolls

Ever since I received my "Dottie Angel" book for my birthday, I'm loving these Kokeshi dolls.
They are so very simple and I think that's partly why I like them so much.
I purchased these ones from Etsy.

Life is so complicated most of the time.
I think simple things are best.

Have a simply wonderful day!

Getting My Spark Back

It seems I've lost my spark for creating these days.
Unwanted drama seems to force it's way into my life and it steals away my peace.
When my peace is gone, imagination and creativity are lost as well.
Inspiration and motivation are no longer with me.
Nothing flows freely.
Instead I force creativity in hopes that my spark will return.

Lavender Stuffed Necklace
The beautiful textile bead was made by Carolyn Saxby.
The tiny pillow was made with scraps of vintage fabric and lace and filled with a spoonful of lavender.

CALM

Repurposed Vintage Parts and two more of Carolyn's beads.

Beads by, you guessed it...Carolyn Saxby.
I figured if these beads couldn't inspire me to create, nothing could.
You can find Carolyn's beads for sale  HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Morning Visitor

For the past several mornings I've had a little visitor while having my coffee.
He and his mate are busy building their nest in the birdhouse outside my kitchen window.
He must see something in my kitchen that looks like nesting material.
He flew smack into the window a few times, but has finally figured out that there is glass and a screen there.
Now he just hangs onto the edge of the window looking in.
I think he's just goofing off so he doesn't have to help with the nest building.
What do you think?
Have a great day!

Vintage French Prints

There has been an overwhelming amount of drama going on here lately and I seem to have lost my spark for being crafty. I've been doodling and sketching, and have a lot of ideas floating around in my head, but just don't have the energy to create anything. I did manage to hang these vintage prints.

Wishing you all a great weekend.

Looks Like Trouble

Last Saturday, the day before our little tea party get together, I wondered out to pick up a few last minute goodies for my girls. While I was scanning the shelves of my favorite local shop of reconsidered items, I came upon this gang of kitschy cuties to add to my shelf.
Looks like trouble to me.
What do you think?

Thanks for visiting!
