Gone Fishing

Each year at this time my husband packs up the truck with camping and fishing gear and heads off to Lake Ontario to spend the weekend with his daughters.

They look forward to this special time together camping and fishing and I enjoy the time doing girl stuff with my mom and daughter. 

Yesterday we made freezer jam and did some shopping.

Today we baked apple pies and made home made chicken noodle soup.

Tomorrow we plan to take a drive to see the pretty Fall foliage.

So far it's been a great weekend over all.

Just look how happy Mom is.

It's her favorite weekend of the year.

Candle Sticks

Maybe I should call them stick candles instead of candle sticks.

Either way, they are cute little candles that my daughter made for me.

We gathered the sticks from the back yard one day while we were walking Jack.

Brisk

As you can see, there is no snow on the ground.
The air is brisk, but unusually mild for this time of year.
My daughter Jamie, Jack and I were out enjoying the blue skies and fresh air this afternoon.

A beautiful feather caught in a branch.

Don't you hate it when your boots pull your socks off?

Go for a walk. It'll make you feel good.
