An Old Clock & A Gathering Bag

This old clock was one of my recent finds while treasure hunting.
I just love the way it looks!
This is a crocheted gathering bag that I made from jute.
I will take it with me when I walk Jack, just in case I find something interesting along the way.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

The Giant Spoon

No...this really isn't a giant spoon.
It's tiny wooden shoes.

Aren't these cute?

Have a nice evening!

Gifts From A Friend

Today started out as quite a gloomy day.
This is a photo of snow against the woods in my backyard.
No it's not a black and white photo.  This is actually what it looks like in living color.
Then Mr."UMELECKY" walked in with the mail.
He handed me a package and said "this must be the package you were expecting".
Well, guess what...it wasn't...instead it was filled with beautiful gifts from my friend Sharon!
She is a published artist who makes some of the most fabulous jewelry I've ever seen.
She also sews and creates amazing mixed media art.
Here are pictures of the beautiful gifts she sent.

The letter that accompanied these gifts touched my heart and I am overwhelmed.
I totally love the necklace and am wearing it now.
The rest of these beautiful gifts are going into a shadowbox to be displayed where I can see them.
Thank you Sharon!
You made my day!

You can purchase some of Sharon's art here.

Hope you're all having a bright sunny day where you are!

Fiber Vessels & Slab Shelves

Hi.
I'm still trying to master the new camera, so some of these photos look pretty good and others, not so good.
I was hoping for a bit more natural light today, but it was gloomy and snowing.
Not enough light inside and too cold to photograph this stuff outside.

The photos of these fiber vessels turned out okay.
The following photos are of the hanging slab shelves I made.
The shelves are fine, the photos, not so much, but you get the idea.

I'd like to hang this in a window with some 70's looking plant hangers that I'm working on.
Hopefully I'll have better photos once the entire project is finished.

Thanks for stopping by!

Farmhouse Storage Basket & Dreaming

This is my latest crocheted jute creation.
I think it's the perfect thing for holding yarn beside your favorite chair or potatoes in the kitchen.
It's nice and sturdy and is 12  inches wide by 10 inches tall.
It's available for purchase here.
DREAMING
is my latest jewelry creation.
It features gorgeous Trilogy fiber and a glass and pewter charm.
The image in the charm is of a beautiful woman who looks as if she's dreaming.
This piece is available here.

Have a nice weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Experimenting With My New Camera

Always in a hurry.
Last week while zipping through the kitchen with camera in hand, I caught the strap to my camera on a drawer pull. It yanked the camera out of my hand, slammed it to the floor and sent it skidding across the kitchen, where it hit head on, into the base of a cabinet.
Totally demolishing my camera.
The new one arrived today.
It's going to take some getting used to.

Hopefully I'll get the hang of it.
Have a lovely evening everyone!
