The Wizards Workshop

While Mother is here visiting I had to take her to "The Wizard's Workshop".
It's a unique little shop here in Punxsutawney, PA that is filled to the brim with chainsaw art.
They have everything from giant chainsaw sculptures to tiny hand carved nicknacks and some local pottery as well.
Mother loves the stuff, so I bought her a big birdhouse that was carved from a stump.
(sorry I didn't get a picture of the birdhouse)
I picked up this cool hand carved fish for my husband.
And this sweet little house for myself.
Today we are off to "Farmer Smith's" greenhouse for some plants to fill these hangers that we've been crocheting. They are made from recycled thrift store garment fabric.
Thank you so much for visiting!
Have a great weekend all.

  3. I love the planters! It sounds like you and Mom are getting out and having some fun, and crocheting together is nice. Supporting local artists is a good thing. I did some thrifting, but no treasures, just garage sale leftovers it seemed like. I did some online shopping instead. I got those silk rods,,,dunno...they are odd. How's little Vera?
    Have a good weekend!

    1. Hi Marcie! Mom and I had a ton of fun together. Not sure what I would do with silk rods either, but I think spinners do use them. Vera is amazing!!! She's walking while holding onto things and has 3 teeth now.

  5. Love these baskets...need to make some, pronto. The only thing I crocheted with fabric was my puppies place mat. I had a bunch of worn colorful t-shirts to cut up.
Great idea to hit the thrift store!
